Ram management in sheep farming
The creation of the manual was born with the idea of ​​sharing useful information to direct the breeder towards a more in-depth knowledge of the potential of his flock.

In the context of sheep farming management, the breeding cycle is a fundamental stage in the system where the farmer must implement proper herd management by making the right choices; In particular, there should be a sufficient number of males and females should be cyclical.

A good management of the males allows to rationalize the heats and the lambing season that the breeder will have to program in function of its requirements and the market. Dr. Maria Dattena and Dr. Marilia Gallus from Agris Sardegna, have created this small manual with the idea of sharing useful information to guide the breeder towards a deeper knowledge of the potential of his flock.
